PLACEMENT
Your theater should be installed in a room where you have good control
of the ambient light. The darker the room the better. The room doesn't have
to be pitch-black but, as in any movie theater, it should allow for subdued
lighting. At 2000 Lumens the Ideal Home Theater's AX200U projector is
very bright, this fact plus the GrayWolf screen's high gain and gray scale help to compensate for
slightly higher ambient room light.
ROOM SIZE
The room where your theater is placed should provide at least 12' of unobstructed space between
the projector and the screen.
PROJECTOR MOUNTING
The Ideal Home Theater system includes a component tower intended to house the projector,
DVD player and surround-sound receiver. We've taken this approach to provide you with greater
flexibility for placing your theater and moving it should your furniture arrangement change. Should
you wish to explore ceiling mount options for the projector we will provide guidance on compatible
choices for mounting equipment.
SCREEN MOUNTING
The GrayWolf screen can be hung from the ceiling or flush-mounted to a wall. Either way - two
hooks with anchors (provided) are the only hardware required. Ceiling mount is the most common
choice for screen installation as it provides greater options for speaker-wire concealment behind
the screen..
SPEAKER MOUNTING
The ONKYO HTS3100 surround-sound system includes six speakers. Left and right front channel,
front center channel, left and right rear satellite speakers and the sub-woofer. The sub-woofer is
placed on the floor; all other speakers must be elevated. Mounting hardware is included that will
permit either ceiling or wall mount for the surround speakers. Our hardware kit includes all
required screws and anchors. Following installation all speaker wires will be exposed. For a neat,
attractive installation we recommend peel-and-stick vinyl conduit be used to conceal speaker
wiring. This is available at all home improvement warehouses. A 100' roll of speaker wire is
included to increase your placement options.
